MCA Denver is hosting a free evening with author Ross Gay and painter Arista Alanis at the Holiday Theater in Denver. On Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM, they’ll share the stage to explore how their work speaks to each other.
Across literature and painting, they’ll talk about themes of attention, gratitude, and connection, and how these ideas show up in their creative practices. It’s a chance to hear directly from both of them about what they notice, what they return to, and what keeps them curious.
Admission is free with RSVP, and the program is organized by MCA Denver. If you’re drawn to thoughtful conversation about art, writing, and the stories behind them, this is a comfortable way to spend an evening.
The event takes place at MCA Denver at the Holiday Theater in Denver.
