About 2nd Summit

A community hub for what's next.

2nd Summit is a hub of highly curated experiences — physical activity, mental engagement, and social connection — for people in their next chapter of life. We started in Denver, and we started because the good things stopped being easy to find.

Why we exist

Routines change. Work winds down or changes shape, the house gets quieter, and the calendar that used to fill itself stops filling itself. None of that means the interesting part is behind you — but it does mean the good things no longer land in your lap. You have to go find them, and finding them takes an evening of searching that nobody wants to spend.

So we do that part. We look for the gatherings worth your time, we check them out before we say a word about them, and we hand you a short list instead of a search engine. Simple, well-designed gatherings — built to spark movement, conversation, and connection.

The belief underneath all of it: staying active, curious, and connected matters most in this stage of life.

Who this is for

People in their next chapter — empty nesters, recent retirees, career changers, anyone whose routines have shifted and who'd like the calendar to be interesting again. You don't need a group to come with, and you don't need to be in any particular kind of shape.

What you'll find

  • Small, well-designed gatherings you can walk into on your own.
  • Plain details up front — where, when, what it costs, what happens when you arrive.
  • Meaning over novelty, quality over quantity.
  • Room for real conversation, and faces you start to recognize.

What you won't

  • Extreme adventure, or anything that asks you to prove something.
  • High-pressure fitness and performance expectations.
  • Gatherings organized around a birth year instead of a shared interest.
  • Countdowns, hard sells, or a calendar full of things nobody vetted.

How an experience reaches you

“Curated” is an easy word to put on a website, so here's exactly what it means here.

  1. We go looking

Venues, hosts, clubs, museums, trails, one-off evenings — we search the city for what's actually worth a Saturday, not just what happens to be listed somewhere.

  2. A curator reviews it

Every experience is reviewed by our curators before it reaches you. We check the details, the venue, and whether it genuinely fits this community. Most of what we find doesn't make it — and you never see those.

  3. You get the short list

What's left is a handful of things described the way a friend would describe them, so you can tell in a few seconds whether it's for you. Then it's yours to take or leave.

That review is the whole point. It's why the list stays short, and why it's worth a look.

Come see what's next.

Have a look at what's coming up. When something appeals, joining takes a minute — and it's free.
